Junior Riders Riding Lessons

Junior Riders is a new program from Cadence Creek especially for children aged 6 and 7. It's designed to introduce them to horseback riding in a very rounded, but not over-powering way. We were finding before that some of our 6 and 7 year old students were not able to maintain the attention span needed for a long (2 hour) visit to the barn.

A typical lesson consists of:
20 minutes in the cross-ties learning to groom and tack
35-40 minutes in the arena riding
10 minutes in cross-ties un-tacking

Depending on the physical abilities of the child, a parent/adult may be required to assist with the arena portion of the lesson. Please make sure that someone is available.

Ages 6 and 7
1 Parent/Adult is required per child
Up to 5 children per group
Arrive 5 minutes before the lesson
Stay 10 minutes after the lesson
$25/lesson ($175+GST for session)
